Jonas Mekas 在他的電影《當我向前行，我偶爾瞥見美麗的片刻》 (As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty）中，將天堂描述為深藏於我們每個人內心深處的事物——在某些時刻、某些地方被感知——與朋友共度的時光，短暫卻承載著永恆的夜晚。天堂，就藏在那杯尚有餘溫的早晨咖啡的最後一口裡；藏在夏末照在人行道上的陽光裡；藏在笑聲、舞步與雨後的氣息裡；藏在悉心照料一株植物，看它一點一點向上生長的過程裡。它滲透在我們生活中靜謐的日常節奏裡，滲透在我們此刻正在經歷的當下，我們的晨、午、夜的日常裡。在《something sweet, something salty, not too much》這個展覽中，五位藝術家為我們打開一扇窗，通往那些稍縱即逝卻又無比熟悉的事物。側耳傾聽，你能聽見鳥兒的歌聲。

Exhibition Description

Jonas Mekas, in his film ‘As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty’, described paradise as something held deep within all of us – felt in certain moments, certain

places – times shared with friends, brief evenings that held eternity. Paradise, then, is contained within the last dregs of a morning coffee, still warm; late summer sunlight on the sidewalk;

laughter, dancing, the smell after a rain; tending to a plant to watch it grow, ever upward. It is imbued in the quiet everyday rhythms of our lives, the present as we live it now, our morning,

noon, night routines. In ‘something sweet, something salty, not too much’; five artists open a window onto the fleeting and the familiar. Listen closely, you can hear the birds sing.

▓▒░ 藝術家簡介 Artist Biography ░▒▓

Ciara Lee 是一位愛爾蘭藝術家。她於 2016 年畢業於國立藝術與設計學院，獲得繪畫學士學位。在校期間，她的創作開始聚焦於俱樂部文化與群體共鳴。畢業後，Ciara 移居柏林。在那裡，她深受當地夜店社群所受到的對待方式所啟發——這個社群被奉為圭臬，與都柏林對待這類場所的態度形成了強烈對比。Lee 在柏林 ECC 的時光對她繪畫實踐的發展至關重要，也讓她有機會建立起屬於自己的繪畫語言。Ciara Lee 近期曾於多個藝廊展出，包括愛爾蘭皇家學院（RHA）、Outset Gallery、Hang Tough Contemporary 以及 The Horse Gallery。

Faye Campbell 是一位旅居台北與柏林之間的作家。

李潔欣是一位以不同形式參與藝術相關計畫的工作者。她喜歡走入自然、漫步其中。近期，她專注於探索在日常生活中實踐創造力的方式，並特別關注人與土地之間的關係。她相信緩慢而穩定地前行的力量，也相信以真誠的目光凝視萬物的價值。

Lavurn 是一位往來於多倫多與柏林之間的音樂人。

廖志珊是一位居住在新北的藝術家。她曾在台灣大學北區社區中心和C-Lab舉辦展覽（並在台灣大學雕塑系實驗展覽空間舉辦個展）。

Artist Biographies

Ciara Lee is an Irish artist. She graduated with a BA in painting from the National College of Art and Design in 2016 where her work began to focus on club culture and community euphoria. After graduating, Ciara moved to Berlin. Here, she was inspired by the way the clubbing community was treated and the pedestal it was put on which greatly contrasted to how these spaces were treated in Dublin. Lee's time in (ECC) Berlin was crucial in the development of her painting practice and gave her the time to develop a personal language with paint. Ciara Lee has most recently exhibited at galleries such as the Royal  Hibernian Academy (RHA), Outset Gallery, Hang Tough Contemporary and The Horse Gallery. 

Faye Campbell is a writer based between Taipei and Berlin.

Chieh Hsin, LEE is a worker involved in art-related projects in various ways. She likes going into nature and taking long walks. Recently, she has been focusing on ways of practicing creativity in daily life, with an emphasis on people and the land. She  believes in the power of doing things slowly but steadily, and in gazing at things with sincerity.

Lavurn is a musician based between Toronto and Berlin.

Chih-Shan,Liao is an artist based in New Taipei. She has exhibited at the NTUA North-Side Settlement and C-Lab, (and a solo exhibition at the NTUA Department of Sculpture Experimental Exhibition Space.)
