▓▒░ 展覽簡介 Exhibition Introduction ░▒▓

《圖IMAGE》系列是我從大學畢業後就開始的計畫，那時候很想要對抗平面設計以理性至上、精密計算、傳達特定資訊的框架，嘗試用直覺、主觀領導進行創作，完全專注在圖像的呈現。簡單來說的話很像是塗鴉，數位版本。

《圖ABI》發現自己創作偏好某種有機美學；《圖3》出現更社會化的審美轉變、並且第一次使用 Generative AI；《圖MUSIC》蒐集歷年為自己製作的歌單封面；《圖Tee》以選擇二手衣而非創造來重新發現圖像。斷斷續續的成為一種當下美學、心理狀態的切片。

最近沒頭沒腦地跑去買了一堆畫框，它們本身基底和圖像產生的互動關係好像有無限種搭配方式，還好框就是可以拆了又裝。斜斜的倒在房間牆角、然後是展場，暫時還不被鎖定成某個樣子，圖系列還在進行中。

The IMAGE series started after I graduated. I wanted to move away from graphic design’s focus on rationality, precision, and communication. I worked more intuitively, letting the image lead. It’s basically a digital form of doodling.

IMAGE ABI leans toward an organic aesthetic. IMAGE 3 shifts toward a more social visual language. IMAGE MUSIC collects playlist covers I’ve made over the years. IMAGE Tee reconsiders images through the act of selecting secondhand clothing rather than creating anew. Over time, the series has become a loose record of my aesthetic and state of mind.

Recently, I bought a pile of frames. The interaction between their material bases and the images opens up endless combinations. Leaning loosely against the walls of my room, they haven’t been fixed into forms for now — IMAGE WIP.

王東岳

平面設計師、創意企劃

1998 年生於高雄，實踐大學媒體傳達學系畢業，現於創意代理商擔任創意企劃。持續探索直覺型圖像與平面設計間的關係。開放嘗試各類視覺型創作，如獨立刊物出版、標準字、社群設計、展覽視覺、品牌視覺規劃等等一些無聊的列點。每天都要喝檸檬綠茶；上一張像人的照片是在歐洲廁所的自拍，幸會幸會。“Dress well, stay weird, make art, confuse people” 有個朋友說可以當我的座右銘。

b. 1998, Kaohsiung. Graduate of Communications Design, Shih Chien University. Currently based at a creative agency as a creative planner. Works around the relationship between intuitive imagery and graphic design. Practice spans independent publishing, logotypes, social content, exhibition visuals, brand identity, blah blah boring stuff. Lately: Drinks lemon green tea daily. The last photo of me that looks human was a toilet selfie in Europe. Nice to meet you. “Dress well, stay weird, make art, confuse people” could be my motto. According to a discussion with friends.
